Professional Development Workshops

Our workshops are delivered to performance teams, coaching staff and medical departments, physical education teachers and sports coaches through a combination of theory and practical learning. We believe providing usable content which can be applied in practice by those we deliver to maximises the value of our offerings. We have a range of in-person and online interactive workshops which you can choose from, although we can create bespoke content specific to your requirements.

Workshops shown as 'suitable for sport' are designed for coaches, performance or medical staff working with athletes at a high level in sport. Or you may be an aspiring team looking to take your knowledge and skills to a higher level. Workshops shown as 'suitable for schools' are designed for teachers or sport coaches working with young people looking to gain extra knowledge and skills to enhance the physical development and athletic capabilities of the children they teach/coach. Note, the cost of the workshop will remain the same regardless of how many of your staff attend the workshops.

During this workshop, the following content will be covered (see below). Note this is a practical based session carried out in a suitable large space (e.g. arena, sports hall). Prior to taking part in this session attendees need to have attended prerequisite workshops - 'Understanding the Essentials of Movement Literacy for Young Athletes parts 1 & 2'.

Following these prerequisite workshops attendees will produce a lesson plan in small groups, prior to attending 'Implementing Movement Centred Activities within Physical Education and Sports Lessons.' Elements of these lesson plans will be delivered to the whole group and feedback will be provided according to the principles covered in the prerequisite modules, culminating in a bank of lesson plans from which teachers are able to deliver sessions to their students immediately.
